Hello! My name is Rachel and I am a studio potter based in Macclesfield.
I opened my studio, Chestergate Pottery, in September 2026 and use the space to make pots and host small-group classes. I trained at Clay College Stoke (2024-26) and I am excited to be out in the world of makers – what a privilege it is to put pots in people’s hands!
I make pieces that feel familiar, worn in and comfortable – pots that settle into everyday life. I am particularly drawn to forms and surfaces that feel like they’ve already seen a bit of life.
