I’m Alison and here at Macclesfield Bag Works I design and hand make bags and purses with a relaxed, casual and joyful feel.
I work with lots of fabrics such as upholstery textiles and oilcloth, but my main big love is to rescue worn out, unloved, battered and discarded denim jeans and using my own designs, breathe new life into them.
Adding in gorgeous linings and colourful straps, each of my bags is unique, made with care and attention to detail and designed to last…and by re-loving and re-imagining discarded denim, another pair of jeans is saved from landfill.
