I am a retired teacher who has returned to my love of gardening, textiles and art to help me forge a new career.
I now utilise the alchemy of chemicals and tannins in leaves, which when heated, transfer their shapes and colours to fabric. I love the serendipitous nature of this botanical printing technique and when coupled with the subtle colours of natural dyes creates a unique range of substrates for stitch, silk scarves, covered books, table runners and cushions. I also embellish my work with slow stitching with naturally dyed threads.
