My work illustrates a romanticised version of Britain. Approaching the pieces like souvenirs, each item is a physical exploration of English culture from my American perspective, and the fleeting newness of experiences in a new place.
Altered classical forms are cast, thrown or hand built. Mixed patterns reference English country house eclectic decorating, and are updated with contemporary colour palettes, while illustrative characters explore British cultural iconography.
