I fell in love with ceramics during my Design Crafts course at University. Clay is such a tactile material and I choose to work with it in a number of ways; from using handmade plaster moulds to slip cast repeat forms such as vases or tableware, to using my hands to create pinch pots, to using natural materials pressed into the clay surface to create texture.
My go-to colour scheme is blue and white, as the rich blue hues created by the cobalt oxide are so beautiful, you will see me venture into green from time to time as well.
As well as making items myself, I also organise workshop to share my passion with others in the community, it is great to see everyone else connecting with the material and creating something unique that they will treasure.
